Getting into the Arean

We had zone conference this Tuesday and it was the best one yet! First off our car didn't win the golden hubcap award, probably because a deer smashed us and our tires are wearing out, but I though it looked pretty good. I am going to be asking for a car that has 4 wheel drive because we got stuck in the mud the other night when it rained. Plus, we mostly drive on backwoods and taking a Ford Fusion off-roading isn't good for the car I don't think. Anyways, we got a training on our culture as a mission. He used Theodore Roosevelt's quote and it struck me that I have to rededicate my efforts and get muddy and bloody in the ring. It is easy to become complacent in the huge area but I am rededicate. That is why I love zone conference so much!

We got the new schedule as well. For you returned missionaries this is what has changed. The morning isn't structured anymore. We choose when to do personal study, workout, get ready, and all the other stuff. We have from 6:30 to 10:00 to do those things. Lunch is 30 minutes and companion study is 30 minutes sometime during the day. There is no more planning at nights, we get to do that in the morning. Short answer, we get more sleep! Shoot! Pday now starts at 8 am and goes until 6pm so that was awesome! This new schedule if pretty sick!!!

No real crazy stories this week, but some updates that have been cool. President Trump is now in office and the people here love that! I probably found the greatest song in the world called "the chick-fil-a song" by Jonny Diaz (mom you will love it)! I had fried ice cream for the first time and chocolate gravy. It pretty much just tastes like hot cocoa with biscuits. Our recent convert Jerry is on fire! He has brought one friend to church and we are teaching his family! That is like 4 baptisms right there! His friend said it was the first church where he didn't feel judged for being there .... thank you! I have not heard anything on transfers but we will get the call this weekend. There is rumor there will be a lot of changes this
transfer! I am so excited!

We did have a super spiritual lesson during a dinner appointment. We have started just reading out of the pamphlets (they work so well)! The spirit prompted me to ask a question and all the testimonies of the Holy Ghost started pouring out. I have learned that I am a sympathy crier so once the waterworks started I started. Ha! It was so Awesome!

Anyways, that is the week! Sorry it wasn't to thrilling but it happens sometimes. Have a blessed week and I love y'all! Oh! I am trying to really get southern sayings down but my favorite so far is, "fight like the third monkey at Noahs Ark and it's fixin to rain!"

Love, Elder Q
